Meet Ms. Floyd
Ms. Floyd is a certified educator in Business Education and Digital Art and Design with a background that combines visual arts, educational technology, human resources, and computer science. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts from Francis Marion University and holds Master’s degrees in Educational Technology and Human Resources Management from Webster University.
Her professional development in computer science includes training through Clemson University’s Context Responsive Computer Science (CROCS), The Citadel’s CSPDWeek, Project Lead The Way (PLTW), and the Carolina Institute of Technology via Google CS Educator Grant, along with a Career Certificate in Gaming Development Fundamentals from YouScience and a CodeHS Micro-credential in Cybersecurity. Prior to joining the Student Innovation Center, Ms. Floyd taught in Newberry County Schools and Richland School District One.
Her approach to education centers on creating opportunities for students to learn, grow, explore technology, and share their knowledge with others.
