Description: The 3D Printing and Design I course at R2i2 will educate students on the use and application of CATIA V.5: a multi-platform computer-aided design (CAD)/computer-aided manufacturing (CAM)/computer-aided engineering (CAE) software suite. Students will design parts and assemblies according to the specifications of each assignment and manufacture these parts using Additive Manufacturing. The student lab includes some of the most advanced manufacturing equipment available in any high school. Students will get hands-on experience with FDM, SLA, and CNC manufacturing technologies and train for a SolidWorks Additive
Manufacturing Certification. Both levels of the course will contain training for professional certification in CATIA v5 as a Part Design Associate. This course will also contain information on the pursuit of careers in these industries.
